ERICH WOLFBERGER

Born in 1983 I am an Artist, Designer and Illustrator. I am driven by my desire to express myself and love to create. My work tends to oscillate between the blackest black and the brightest of colors, sometimes dark and ghoulish but oftentimes with a wink.

I have always been interested in organics and I love to find structures, textures and surfaces. I am fascinated by humans, their bodies and emotions and I tend to separate them all from each other on the canvas. The resulting figures tend to be unrealistic, unhuman and exalted while everything but the figure expresses the emotion I wanted to display. Backgrounds are negligible to me and I like to form the central motive into the background, pushing it to the extreme, deforming, deconstructing and rebuilding it until it fills the canvas.
